Computers and work stations
In the University Library there are computers, work stations, group study rooms and a silent reading room. The library also offers Wi-Fi and the ability to print, copy and scan.
Computers and Wi-Fi
In the library there are a number of computers for public use. Four of them are reserved for searching the library catalogue. There are also two computer labs, Bib202 and Bib203. The computer labs are available during the library's opening hours. There are 9 computers in each lab and seats for work in pairs. However, sometimes Bib202 is booked for library instruction.
The computers are equipped with Microsoft Office and have Internet access. Students and staff use their user accounts to login. External visitors are asked to contact the Information desk.
The wireless network, Eduroam, can be accessed at the University of Skövde. Instructions on how to connect your computer, smartphone or tablet.
Print, copy and scan
There are three printers in the library. One at the ground floor and one by the computer labs upstairs and also one next to the Study Support Center, to the left of the library entrance. Choose the FollowYou-printer and then go to a printer and log in with your username and password. The printers can also be used for photocopying and scanning. Group study rooms
At the ground floor there are fifteen group study rooms. There is an additional group study room opposite the computer labs upstairs. Ten of the group rooms can be booked in advance in the electronic booking system.
Work stations and silent areas
There are about 40 individual work stations in the library, with lighting and power outlets for work with own computers. The nine large lounge suites also have tables with recessed power points. There is a silent reading room at the library ground floor.
Study Support Center
When you enter the library you find the Study Support Center to the left. Here you can get some help with language, computer use and study techniques etc. Opening hours can be found at the Study Support Center web page.
