1/16/2014

In heavy snowfall, The University of Skövde welcomed international students from all over the world. Some of them are here for the first time, others are returning students. In total, the University of Skövde expects 65 exchange students and 20 master students this semester.

This spring, the University of Skövde welcomes students from Spain, Austria, Mexico, Ireland, China, Italy, Germany, Finland, Turkey, France, India and Hong Kong.

– We are thrilled to receive so many exchange students. We can see more applicants from Ireland, which is very exciting and also the amount of fee-paying students have increased this year, says Elizabeth Persson, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs and Student Support at the University of Skövde. Among our exchange students a large group from Spain is here to study engineering for a bachelor’s degree.

Tracy Luo from China is one of the 65 exchange students. She will be studying English at the University of Skövde this spring. It is the first time she visits Sweden and she is looking forward to the studies – and all the snow.

– The reception at the University of Skövde has been great and it is so beautiful here. I have chosen to come here as an exchange student because I love Sweden and want to experience a different life and a different scenery, says Tracy Luo.
