Annual Cultural Heritage Seminar
Annually in the first week of October arranges the University of Skövde a two-day seminar on cultural heritage and gaming technology (2015 was the fourth year for this event). We welcome students, actors in the cultural heritage and museums, game developers and researchers who are interested in the subject.
Heritage and gaming technology is a combination that is growing rapidly. Our cultural heritage becomes increasingly virtual portrayed via digital picture and sound. The new media open up new communication channels to convey the stories.
But how do we weave together the stories and the interactive capabilities of the objects and places we want to tell the story of, can you do so seamlessly?
How do we do with requirements for historical accuracy as we also want to attract and maintain?
This is the kind of issues we address and discuss during the seminar.
