The School of Informatics has 120 academic staff.
We are closely connected to Gothia Science Park – a technology and research park with an IT profile. This innovative environment provides the University of Skövde and especially the School of Informatics with unique opportunities to link academic activities to the industry and organizations.
The School of Informatics also has a PhD graduate school - IPSI - which focuses on illustrating how progress in computer and information technology can be used to develop and apply information technology systems that are beneficial for individuals, organizations and society. It also emphasizes the socio-technical and organizational perspective which is integrated to create useful system solutions.
