Teaching

I teach primarily in pharmacology and physiology on both the nursing and biomedicine programs and also supervise thesis workers.

Research

The mail goal of my research is to gain increased knowledge and understanding of how our own anti-stress system works and how it can be activated. If we know how to trigger our own anti-stress system, we can translate this into practical use and develop preventive methods to counter stress and stress-related illness. In particular, my research focuses on health promotion effects associated with sensory stimulation and the underlying physiological mechanisms for these effects.
I conduct my research primarily at Högskolan i Skövde but also work closely with the research group GRASP (Group for Research in Affective Somatosensation and Pain) at Linköping University.
