Master program in Mechanical Engineering

120 higher education credits

The program is focused on product- and production development and involves topics such as ergonomic design, quality assurance, production development, PDM, FEM etc. The program utilizes modern and powerful tools for modelling, simulation, web-collaboration etc. Case methods are used in many of the courses. Contact and collaboration with industry are characteristic for the program.

The program is given in cooperation between the Universities in Örebro, Halmstad and Skövde. In that way we can offer a comprehensive set of courses.

Your study can be inclined to meet your requirements by following one of the following four tracks:

  • Production development
  • Product design and development
  • Forming technology
  • Automation

Each course is mainly given from one of the sites (Örebro, Halmstad and Skövde) while students situated at the other universities follows the course using an e-meeting platform. Each course also has a local contact person that will be your discussion partner in local seminars, as well as a link to the local industry for course projects etc.

Requirements

The applicant must have a Bachelor's degree (a Swedish Kandidatexamen) or equivalent academic qualifications from an internationally recognised university. The university has to be listed in the latest edition of the International Handbook of Universities.

The Bachelor's degree must be with mechanical engineering as main field of study.

The applicant must have proof of skills in English, the requirement is English course B. This is normally attested by means of an internationally recognised test, e.g. TOEFL, IELTS or the equivalent.
