Skövde University library switches from the SAB classification system to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC).
Starting at the end of the spring semester all new acquisitions will be labeled according to DDC whereas relabeling of older books will take place gradually over a period of time.
Why DDC?
To use a well-maintained and widely used classification system in the world.
To make Swedish research more visible and to simplify management of non-Swedish literature.
