DiVA (Academic Archive Online)
is the open digital archive of the university, for registering and full text publication of student theses, articles, reports and other academic publications. In the system you register bibliographic information, and have the possibility of adding a full text file, hence making the publication Open Access.
By publishing your work in DiVA you increase its accessibility and visibility. Your document also receives a persistent URL, through a link resolver maintained by the National Library of Sweden. This means that the links to documents in DiVA always function.
All documents published in DiVA are automatically searchable in DiVA Skövde
and DiVA Portal
. Also, they become searchable in academic search engines such as Scirus
, Google Scholar
, OAIster
and BASE
. The publications are also visible in ordinary search engines like Google
.
Student theses are also made searchable in Uppsök
and Essays.se
.
Research publications (ie all documents except student theses) registered in DiVA, will automatically become part of the national service SwePub - Unified access to and reporting of Swedish scientific publications
. The purpose of SwePub is to improve the accessibility and visibility of research publications created by Swedish researchers, including a growing share of Open Access web publications.
DiVA is developed and run by Uppsala University Library. It is used by about 30 Scandinavian universities.
DiVA is in constant development and several additional features will be available in the system: statistical information and bibliometrics, import and export of metadata, and the possibility of being a technical platform for Open Access journals.
