Journals, articles and newpapers

Electronic journals

In the library journal list you will find both printed and electronic journals. Most of them are electronic journals. You will find the articles by searching on the title of the journal. After finding the journal, click on the journal title if you are on campus. If you are off campus, click on Remote log in. You can then access the journal content.
Ca 6.000 journals are also searchable in full text through ELIN@Skövde.

Printed journals

In the library journal list you will find both printed and electronic journals. A minority of them are print journals. These are not for borrowing, but you can copy from them. The copy machine is located in the journal section. If you want to make photo copies you'll need a copy card. Either you buy a copy card at Reprocentralen ( ~1 SEK/copy) or borrow one  at the Library's information desk (2 SEK/copy).

How to find the article

When you have a reference to an article, and want to know if you can access it through the library, go to the library journal list and search the title of the journal (NOT the title of the article).

If the article is in an electronic journal, you can just click on the link to the journal and browse the journal for your article. If it is in a print journal, you get the printed copy off the shelf. You cannot borrow it, but you can copy from it (see above).

If the article is not available in our library

Then you can request a copy from another library. Make your request at the information desk or send it by e-mail. The standard fee is 40 SEK per article (no fee for university staff).
