Exam week

Soon it is time for Exam Week for courses ending the first study period. Exam Week takes place from Oktober 28th to November 7th. These days are filled with your written or oral examinations.

There are a number of rules and regulations that you are obliged to know before an exam and here is a short reminder:

Remember to sign up for your written exams on time, i.e. 7 days in advance on StudentCentralen. To the exam you must bring a valid photo ID and student union fee receipt/Mecenat card. Once in the examination room you must sit at the desk appointed to you. On your desk you may only have writing aids (such as pen, pencil), any special aids allowed on the exam and something to eat or drink. Your teacher should inform you in class which aids are allowed in advance. Mobile phones and other electronic devices may only be kept in you bag or jacket and must be switched off at all times. All writing papers are issued by the invigilators/supervisors. Remember that you may not fold any paper. Reed more about the examination rules

The Examiner may not mark your exam if cheating or attempt to cheat has been reported for this particular exam to the Vice Chancellor/Disciplinary Board. Once the chancellor/board has ruled on any disciplinary measures the Examiner will decide weather to mark your exam.

Avoid a stressed study situation and plan ahead. If you need help with study techniques you can find tips and advice at the Study Support Centre. You are also welcome to contact the Student Counsellor’s by e-mail: studievagledare@his.se

We also ask that you are on time for the exams. You should be sitting in the exam room at 08.15 or 14.15 at the latest. Keep in mind that if you are late and let in after the exam has started, you may disturb the students who are already there. Please be considerate!

Good luck with your exams!
