Mutual exchange for students and industry

Jonas Svefors graduated from the program of international economics at the University of Skövde 1998 – and now he will give a lecture to the students taking economics.

- It's exciting and inspiring as an alumni student of the University of Skövde to be able to give the students a little of my experience. As a business representative, this is a great opportunity to talk about "reality" and connect with the students, says Jonas Svefors.Jonas Svefors

Jonas is currently the Swedish Sales Manager at Paroc Building Insulation, which is a sales and marketing division at Paroc. Jonas works in Skövde which is the Scandinavian headquarters for Paroc. But Jonas has the world as his working area. In his lecture, he told the students about the business processes, the professional market and how to work with established processes in new global markets.

Students at the University of Skövde meet the business community in many ways, and guest speakers are an important element in the education.

- We consider it extremely valuable that our students get to meet people who work in business! It is very important for our students to be told how to use the theoretical knowledge in "reality". Of course it is particularly gratifying when a former student is doing this, says Negra Pasalic in charge of the program of economics at the University of Skövde.
