New research project develops simulation-based methods for profitable vehicle manufacturing

The University of Skövde has received 950 000 euros in research grants. The money will help finance a research project that aims to increase profitability and sustainability of the Swedish automotive industry.

The automotive industry needs to develop new and more fuel-efficient products, a transformation that will require restructuring of existing production facilities. The industry also needs to increase the energy and time efficiency of their manufacturing processes.

University of Skövde has now received 950 000 euros in research grants from the FFI (Strategic vehicle research and innovation initiative program). The money will be used to partially finance a research project aimed at increasing profitability and sustainability in the Swedish automotive industry.

The project aims to develop new simulation-based methods for optimization and knowledge-eliciting.
