University of Skövde is ranked first in Sweden and second in Europe in the important area of "Learning". Since autumn 2010, the ISB has collected results from studies made by international students at universities around the world. 16 universities in Sweden participated in the survey. In the field "performance feedback" the University of Skövde ranks first in Sweden and third in Europe. The University is also second in Sweden (ninth in Europe) in the "Laboratories" and the third in Sweden in the "Marking criteria".
- This is a good example of what high quality our international students think our teachers and courses have. We are ranked in the very top, particularly in Sweden, in "Living overall"," Support overall "," IT Support "and" Living cost ". These results are extremely positive, Sigbritt Karlsson says, headmaster at the University of Skövde.
Important to work internationally
Acquiring a higher education in a country other than their own has become increasingly popular, and students are willing to travel far to get the education they are seeking.
- The results of the study are encouraging and something we are very proud of. For educational institutions, it becomes increasingly important to work internationally, and we at the University of Skövde will focus our work even more outside the country, says Sigbritt Karlsson.
New national rules
University of Skövde generally gets good grades in terms of employability after graduation, registration, and Internet access. The interest of studying in Sweden is big internationally. As a result of the new national rules that have been introduced, in which overseas students must pay an enrollment fee for studying in Sweden, the applicant numbers has declined dramatically in all educational institutions throughout the country.
- In the end, the change will probably mean more motivated international students who choose to study in Sweden. The fact that Sweden is adapting to the rules already in force in the world is a given, says Sigbritt Karlsson.
