Professor Ken Hintz from C4I center, George Mason University visits University of Skövde on August 19. He will give presentations on Syntactic Pattern Recognition for Landmine Detection and on Information-based Sensor Management.

Infofusion has received a visiting professor travel grant of SEK 7000 from The Wenner-Gren Foundations (Wenner-Gren Stiftelserna) for the visit of Prof. Hintz. The application was written by Eva Nero, Saab Microwave Systems, and filed by Sten F Andler, University of Skövde.

2008-07-08Infofusion's Annual Report 2007 has been approved by the Swedish Knowledge foundation.
2008-07-08Maria Riveiro was awarded the "Best Student Paper Award" at the Fusion 2008 conference.More then360papers were sent to the conference and 274 were accepted (roughly 75%). Approximately 100 of these papers were Student Papers, i.e., lead author was a PhD student. 3 papers were nominated and Maria got the award and a price check of €500.
