Johan Schubert is a Deputy Research Director with the Department of Decision Support Systems at the Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOI. He received an M.Sc. in Engineering Physics in 1986 and his Ph.D. in Computing Science in 1994, both from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He has conducted research in Information Fusion for 20 years and published eleven journal articles, three book chapters and a number of conference papers. He was the technical program chair of the Seventh International Conference on Information Fusion (FUSION 2004), co-editor of the conference proceedings and guest co-editor of a double special issue of the journal Information Fusion on FUSION 2004. His current research interests include theoretical and applied aspects of Soft Computing, Neural Networks, Management of Uncertainty and Dempster-Shafer Theory, military applications of high-level Information Fusion and Artificial Intelligence for Situation and Threat Assessment and its use in Decision Support Systems.
