Topics of interest for SWIFT 2008 include, but are not limited to,
- Situation awareness and human decision-making
Fusion aspects on, e.g., decision-support, information visualization, mixed-initiative interaction, HCI, user requirements
- Decision and classifier fusion
Approaches to represent and fuse competitive information from, e.g., classifiers
- Support and infrastructure issues
Middleware and architectures for fusion, pre-processing and association of observations, meta-data, sensor and information modelling
- Future directions for information fusion
Otherwise novel ideas for information fusion and ongoing work
We are inviting authors to submit extended abstracts of 2-4 pages preferably with relation to the aforementioned topics. The abstracts may include problem descriptions, possible approaches, preliminary results, and industrial experience.
The submission deadline expired September 28th (Note! Extended deadline). Accepted abstracts will be made available in a workshop proceedings. Submit your contribution to swift2008@lists.his.se. Write the following subject: SUBMISSION: <Author> <Title>. <Author> should be replaced by the last name of the main author and <Title> should be the title. You may submit updates until the deadline.
