The university restaurant

Götasalen is the University restaurant on campus, and a meeting place for all students and staff. A place to meet and discuss the day’s events over a meal or a just a cup of coffee. There is also plenty of space for private study or group work.

Morning tea/coffee for the staff

During term time, the University staff is welcome to morning tea/coffee in Götasalen from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

• University staff is welcome to morning tea/coffee in Götasalen from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Monday to Friday. Since the restaurant starts serving lunch from 11 am, it is important that you get there before 10:30 am.
• Anyone participating must have a valid ID card (pass card) with photo to show to the restaurant staff if necessary.
• Staff is provided with tea/coffee, a sandwich and a biscuit. Those who wish to may purchase other items at the counter.
• If you have guests accompanying you, their names must be noted down by cash register staff so that the department/School hosting the guest can be invoiced later.
• One of the Vice-Chancellor’s intentions in holding staff morning teas is to provide a venue for spontaneous meetings with colleagues from other Schools/departments where activities permit. The idea is thus not to get your tea/coffee and biscuit or sandwich and go back to your own room, but to mingle with your colleagues in the restaurant.
