Public holidays

Public Holidays

I could get use to this. It feels like there's a public holiday every other week. During these past few months there seems to be quite a few days off. During the winter months public holidays seemed few and far between. When I say public holidays I mean celebrated days when there is no school or work, because frankly those are the only holidays that really matter (smiles). Now that the warmer weather is upon us it appears that the public holidays are also upon us. It's almost as if the majority of public holidays are saved until Spring arrives so that people can enjoy their days off in the warm weather at a barbeque or wherever they please. Now this is quite nice except I am always the last person to know when a public holiday is drawing near. I usually find out about a day or two before the holiday and by this time many people have already made plans to travel. Take for instance this past week, 6 June was Sweden's National Day. I of course was the last to know and by the time I found out, I was limited with what I could do. All was well though, plenty of enjoyment was still had with the friends that remained. I can assure you though, that from now on I will make sure I keep up-to-date with my public holidays, the one's that matter of course (smiles).
