The subject areas computer science, pedagogy and humanities look at variations on this theme. The variations deal with mankind as a lingusitic, communicating being in realtion to the latest technology, various aspects of mankind in realtion to learning, and mankind as a cultural being from philosophical and literary writings preserved from the earliest times to today's difital media.
The subject essentially aims to gain a better understanding of mankind's relationship with computer-based technology from a historical and critical perspective and how it affects mankind's living situation in time and space.
