The cave

The cave is a“box” you can enter. The computer game is projected on the four walls, which means that you are “inside” the game. One project, in cooperation with furniture industry, resulted in a demonstrator which is used to furnish a virtual room. It was demonstrated at an exhibition during 2005.  View movie

The home

An apartment is equipped with cameras and microphones. The interaction between players, and their interaction with the game is recorded and analyzed.This part ofthe lab has been used to evaluate game design as well as for teaching. View movie

The office

This is a similarfacility as the home. The work places are equipped with cameras, microphones and logging fuctionality which makes it possible to study human-machine, human-human and human-machine-human interaction. This part of the lab can be used to study, for example, CSCW.

The car

A Volvo S80 is used as a computer game console. The games are projected on seven screens enabling 360 degrees projection. The car has so far been used for research on gaming as a means for encouraging safe driving. Several experiments have been carried out and data is currently being analysed. View movie
