Ukraine project continues with visit in Skövde

The last day, the UN Day, sang our friends from Ukraine,
a song from their home country for children and staff at
Billingdal school.
KompLIT.s cooperation with Ukraine in Zaporizhia continues. This week is it our task to take on the hosting of a group of nine adults, teacher trainers, school principals and teachers and three secondary pupils.
- We show the activity at the University of Skövde, and kindergartens and schools in Skövde and Falköping, said Thomas Blom president of Billingssdal school and they hope after this week to find ways of further cooperation between them.
When the guests on Friday, leaving Skövde, they have good knowledge into the Swedish school system and the daily works in schools. In addition to these daily school visits and meetings with educators, they have also take part of our culture and society.

Our aim was to initiate an international collaboration between nursery schools, schools and teacher educations.

Back from a successful study tour

The teachers from the University of Skövde and Billingsdalsskolan are now back from their study tour in Ukraine, which turned out to be an exciting and interesting journey that inspired thoughts and ideas of continued collaboration.
- We are planning a visit in Skövde this autumn, and are already initiating email communications about pedagogical issues,” says Thomas Blom, headmaster of Billingsdalsskolan who initiated the study tour.

Billingsdalsskolan opens its door to an IT-collaboration with its colleagues in Ukraine

In the middle of May, the city of Skövde starts its school collaboration with the Ukraine. Headmaster Thomas Blom travels to Zaporizhia, a city with over a million inhabitants, together with five teachers from Billingsdalsskolan and four teacher trainers from the University of Skövde to establish contacts with teacher trainers, students and teachers.
- We will exchange experiences on core values, democracy and methods for using IT in education, says Thomas Blom.
