Mandatory sign up for examinations
To have the right to participate in a written examination you must sign up for the exam. This is done through Studentportalen at least seven days before the examination takes place.
It is common for students to arrive to the examination without signing up for it. This causes certain disorder in the exam room; there is a risk that unaccepted students take examinations they are not supposed to; and more administration is a result. The regulation for the autumn semester regarding students who have not signed up for exam is that they may be offered a seat but not until all that have signed up have arrived for the exam. This happens 45 minutes after the exam has begun.
Thus, from week 37, students who have not signed up for an exam will be offered any remaining seats 45 minutes after the exam has begun and only if they are registered for the course. If you have not signed up for the exam you must prove that you are registered for the course by bringing a certificate of registration.
From spring term 2012 mandatory sign up is demanded and if you do not sign up you will not be allowed to take an examination.
The imposition of certificate of registration and mandatory sign up is not a new rule; we are changing practice and are enforcing the existing regulations.
