University of Skövde's website one of the most accessible
University of Skövde's website is ranked number one among Swedish universities websites for accessibility.
The University of Skövde's website, www.his.se, is tied for first place in terms of accessibility among Swedish universities and university websites. That is shown in a study conducted by validerat.se. The first prize is shared with the Jönköping University and Örebro University.
- When we built the new web accessibility was very important. Still it is a continuous work to be done and our editors have a great responsibility over this, "says Daniel Andrén, webmaster at the University of Skövde.
Validerat.se is a web-based service that looks at how accessible the various public websites is. For example, thay test how the content of the website is designed and presented, and the extent to which the HTML that is built on the site is accurate.
