Ongoing research
Dr. Salomonsson's primary research interest lies within the area of numerical modeling. Specifically, the modeling of crack initiation and propagation by use of cohesive zones is of particular interest. Dr. Salomonsson is part of a research group that primaraly studies structural high strength adhesives and a presentation of the research group and related projects can be found here.

Future research
The field of bioengineering is something that has captured the interest of Dr. Salomonsson the past few years. Particularly, interest has been turned to the interface interaction between artificial materials, such as e.g. Titanium, and human bone.
