Visual Regular Expression Editor

Installation

1. Follow this link: https://github.com/aelliott/expressioneditor/tarball/master and extract the resulting .tar.gz file in /tmp/
2. Install development tools on your system (everything in one line):
   sudo apt-get install cmake build-essential libqt4-dev
3. Create the directory /tmp/build and go into this directory with a terminal
4. Run (everything in one line):
   cmake ../aelliott-exp*/ && nice make && sudo make install

Running

1. Start the program with: expressioneditor
2. Click on "New Expression"
3. In the center line, start typing your regular expression. In the large field on the top, the regular expression should get visualized.
