The purpose of the diploma work is to solve a scientific problem using the theoretical and practical knowledge you have acquired knowledge you have acquired during your studies.
The diploma work should also give you the opportunity to work individually and independently with research and development at a university, the government or in the industry in order to give you knowledge about planning and presentation of research. The work will in all cases be examined by and at Skövde University.
It is up to each student to find a suitable diploma work and a supervisor. This process takes some time so it is recommended that you start looking not later than half a year before the start of the diploma work. When you have found a place, project and supervisor write a short project proposal (maximum one A4 page) and contact Patric Nilsson. He will decide on the level of the project and approve it. Date for the presentation, examiner and opponent will be appointed later and listed on the "Students 200X page".
