Sweden Game Arena Makes Major Showing at the Game Developers Conference (GDC)


Sweden Game Arena makes a major showing at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Booth 124 in the North Hall at the Moscone Convention Center will be a vibrating meeting place. One of many activities is the demonstration of The Westport Independent, a new game from Double Zero One Zero that is published by Coffee Stain Studios.

Sweden Game Arena is a fast growing ecosystem for game education, research, development and start-ups. At GDC ’15, and at Game Connection that takes place in San Francisco at the same time, visitors are offered a range of opportunities through Sweden Game Arena. As many as eight game companies and more than ten researchers, lecturers and business developers from Sweden Game are in San Francisco on March 2-6.

“We know that our environment is interesting for international companies, universities and other groups”, says Magnus Ling, spokesperson for Sweden Game Arena. “Therefore, we are always looking for new partners who would like to invest, establish a presence or collaborate in education and research in Skövde and the West Sweden Region. For us, GDC and GC provide crucial opportunities for networking. Our booth will be a vibrant meeting place for both spontaneous and scheduled encounters.”

Sweden Game Arena’s Booth 124 will showcase several exciting new games. One of them is The Westport Independent.

Apart from new games for a range of platforms, there are also opportunities to discuss collaboration for research and development, educating new talent and establishing a presence in the expansive ecosystem built within the framework of Sweden Game Arena.
