Physiology G1F, 7,5 ECTS, BV309G

The course focuses on the physiological processes in the human and animal body systems (nervous system, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, blood- and immune system, respiratory system, reproductive system, musculoskeletal system, digestive system and the excretion system).

The course also provides a comprehensive understanding of how the body systems have evolved and changed during evolution, and how environmental toxins can affect the physiological processes. A comparison is made with plant morphology and physiology, with a focus on the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration, carbon dioxide fixation, nutrient uptake and water transport as well as reproduction.
