Chemistry and Impacts on Environment and Health G1N, 7,5 credits, KE116G

The course aims to provide fundamental knowledge in chemistry. The course will also give an increased understanding of natural and anthropogenic chemical substances, their reactions and processes in our environment and body and their consequences on our environment and health. Chemistry and bioscience will be integrated in a thematic way and consider areas such as acidification, oxidative stress, combustion, the greenhouse effect, heavy metals and organic toxic substances. The course provides a basis for upcoming courses in bioscience.
