Degree certificate

The typical aim for studies is a university degree. Once you have received your degree, you are well-equipped for a professional life outside the university. In most instances, your degree will qualify you for studies at a higher level.

After the completion of your studies you must apply for your degree certificate yourself. Your application will be checked against applicable national and local higher education qualification regulations.

The degree certificate includes only approved courses that are fully completed, the number of credits, grade, grading scale, the date for the grade and, where appropriate, other studies that have been accredited.

The degree certificate is issued in two languages: Swedish and English.

Diploma Supplement

Enclosed free of charge with the degree certificate is a Diploma Supplement which describes where in the Swedish Higher Education System your degree is located. The Diploma Supplement is always issued in English.

The Diploma Supplement is an annex to a degree certificate. The purpose of the supplement is to provide sufficient independent data to improve international "transparency" and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates, etc.). The Diploma Supplement is designed to provide a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were taken and successfully completed by the individual named on the original qualification to which this supplement is appended.

Value document

Your Degree Certificate is an original document that is only available in one copy.
If your Degree Certificate is lost or destroyed you can get a copy of the archival copy from the university's archive.
