The project intends to implement and evaluate a research-based didactic model; “The challenge of taking charge of one’s life - learning in long-term illness” from a patient and caregiver perspective. The model aims to meet, confront and in a tactfully manner challenge the patient to reflect on their perceptions conceptions, thoughts, actions and feelings in daily living with the illness. In this way, group education is given a different focus than the more traditional one, which is structured with lectures on the disease and its treatment.
