BIP: Organizational and Entrepreneurial Resilience and Sustainability

Join us for a wintry week at the University of Skövde in February! This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) focuses on how companies navigate crises and how resilience is linked to sustainability. You will spend a week studying together with students from Sweden, Italy, Norway, and France, followed by online collaboration. Apply now for this exciting short-term study abroad opportunity!

The University of Skövde coordinates this course, which is based on several research projects from our School of Business. As a student, you'll gain fresh insights into relevant topics such as organizational resilience – the ability to withstand crises – and its connection to sustainability. The course awards 3 ECTS credits and is conducted in English.

      Programme Structure and dates

The onsite part takes place at the University of Skövde from 24-28 February 2025, including lectures and a seminar. The online part follows from 1-31 March 2025, involving teamwork and a final seminar with assignment presentations. Each partner university has ten available spots.

      Course Aim

The course aims to develop students' theoretical and practical knowledge in organizational and entrepreneurial resilience as well as the relationship to the three dimensions of sustainability (economic, social and ecological sustainability).

Organizational and entrepreneurial resilience is viewed from a classical perspective, systemic perspective and critical perspective. By the end of the course, students will have gained a deeper understanding of how organizations manage crises, and how resilience strategies can be applied in both entrepreneurial and corporate contexts.
