The course aims at giving the student in-depth knowledge of design methodology and how design relates to other more classical sciences. Specifically, design thinking and design strategies are discussed, how does a designer solve unclear defined issues and how do different media and tools affect these processes? The course also provides training in analysing earlier and planning future design work while simultaneously improving the ability of students to communicate and discuss experiences and results orally and in writing.
