I am a Senior Lecturer at the School of Informatics at the University of Skövde. I hold a Ph.D in cognitive Systems from Linköping University, a M.Eng. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna and a M.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Skövde.
I am currently serving as Programme Director for the Master's Programme in Data Science (60 and 120 hp), as coordinator and lecturer of the graduate courses Scientific Theory in Informatics and Data Driven Decision Making, and of the undergraduate course Affective Interaction and Emotions.
I am interested in artificial and biological minds, and in the dynamics that emerge when biological and artifical “intelligent machines" meet (e.g. Human-Robot Interaction). My research has mainly focused in cognitive robotics and physical Human-Robot Interaction. My research interests include:
- Biological and artificial minds (adaptive behavior, anticipation, multiple time scales, perception, embodied and situated cognition, metabolic embodiment);
- Physical Human-Robot interaction and Robotics;
- Machine Learning (e.g. Programming by demonstration);
- Dynamic systems.
