The purpose of the Alumni network at the University of Skövde is to strengthen the relationships between former students (alumni), the University and the surrounding world, foremost in order to enable a mutual development of knowledge, competence, and connections. The word alumnus is Latin for pupil, or foster son. The origin is the Latin word "alere" which means to nourish or be nourished.
