A few minutes from the city centre
It’s within walking distance from Skövde’s central parts, and it’s hard to get lost on the way. From Skövde Travel Centre, walk north on Stationsgatan for a minute or two, past Regionens hus, until you reach a crossroads (where Stationsgatan turns into Mariestadsvägen). Wait for the green light at the pedestrian crossing, cross Hjovägen and step onto campus!

By bicycle
Cycling in Skövde is easy, and along Mariestadsvägen there is a separate pedestrian and cycle path leading to the University.
There are several bike racks on campus, located near the various buildings.
Important information for electric bikes
Arriving by e-bike, e-scooter or similar? Please note that for safety reasons, it is not permitted to store or charge batteries indoors. It is also not permitted to bring the vehicle inside. The University’s guidelines for systematic fire safety work provide more information, including in Appendix 6.
By bus
Most buses stop at Skövde Travel Centre, but there is also a bus stop named “Högskolan”. The campus is located between the two.

By train
If arriving by train, disembark at Skövde Travel Centre, which is only a few hundred metres’ walk from the University.
Several train operators serve the Western Main Line, including SJ (sj.se), VR (formerly MTRX, vrresa.se), and Västtrafik (vasttrafik.se).
- High-speed trains Stockholm–Skövde take about two hours.
- High-speed trains Gothenburg–Skövde take about one hour.
By car
Head for Skövde city centre or enter “Högskolevägen” in your GPS to find your way. There are several parking areas on and around the campus.
Parking on campus is subject to a fee, and on weekdays between 07:00 and 17:00, only University staff and students, as well as visitors to the University, may use the parking spaces. Parking fees are managed via Parkster.

It’s not hard to find your way around campus, but the various buildings may have different visitor addresses.
