Cyber security - culture and awareness

Cyber security - culture and awareness

As society becomes increasingly digital, the demands for cybersecurity are growing. Everyone who uses computers, mobile phones, cloud services, and networks in their work needs to be aware of the risks involved and how to protect themselves, making informed decisions to avoid unnecessary exposure. For companies and organisations, this means fostering a culture and awareness that creates the right conditions for cybersecurity. How to achieve this in your organisation is the focus of this course.

In this course, we will discuss and study user behaviour in relation to cybersecurity, based on current models that explain user behaviour. You will gain deeper insight into how technology, organisational governance, and users’ social environments collectively contribute to shaping organisational cybersecurity culture and cybersecurity awareness. You will also be introduced to the latest research in the field.

Throughout the course, you will work on developing a strategy for organisational cybersecurity culture and cybersecurity awareness.

      Who is the course for?

This course is designed for individuals with a basic understanding of information security and IT systems. You should have some prior experience in IT or information security, but your background may be in either technology or social sciences.

Contact wiser@his.se if you are interested in taking this course.

After completing the course, you will be able to:
