      Introduction to Data Storytelling

      Introduction to Data Storytelling

In industry, large amounts of data are often generated through various processes. The ability to communicate these data-driven insights in a compelling and understandable way is crucial for influencing decisions and driving change. This course provides an introduction to Data Storytelling, focusing on equipping you with the tools to effectively communicate key information extracted from data within your organisation.

In this course, you will explore the three fundamental dimensions of Data Storytelling: data, visualisation, and narrative. Together, we will examine how these dimensions form the foundation of Data Storytelling. This includes principles of visualisation, storytelling structure, and different techniques that can be used in the narrative itself. You will learn when it is appropriate—and when it is not—to apply Data Storytelling in an organisational context. Additionally, you will develop skills in creating Data Stories based on data from your own organisation and operations.
