      The library for distance students

Distance students have access to books, databases, articles and journals, just like campus students. The difference is that you can have books and articles sent to your home address.

      Library card

In order to borrow books and request items, you will need a library card. If you are registered on a distance course at the University of Skövde, you can have a library card sent to your home address. Please contact the library for more information.

      Borrowing books and requesting articles

Distance students at the University of Skövde can request books held at Skövde University Library and other libraries, and can have them sent to their home address. Course literature and other reference literature cannot be lent out.

Articles that are not directly available in full text from the library’s subscriptions can be requested for a charge. Articles will be sent to the address you have provided, together with information about how to pay.

Find out more about requesting articles and books.

      Databases, articles and journals

Electronic resources such as databases, articles and journals can be accessed outside the University’s network using your University username and password. If you have any difficulties logging in to e-resources such as databases and journals, you can get help at the page about accessing library resources.

      Book search guidance via Zoom

Distance students can get guidance via Zoom on issues relating to information skills, such as information searches, source criticism and referencing. Book an appointment using the search guidance booking form.
