      Write and cite

When you write assignments it is important to be aware of the academic language.

Blekinge Institute of Technology, Kristianstad University, Linnaeus University and Umeå University have produced the Writing Guide where you can read more about academic writing and reference management.

It is not allowed to use other people's texts without citing the source. The University uses the system URKUND to check text submissions against pre-existing texts. If you want to know more about copyright and plagiarism, there are various guides to use.

When writing references, different reference styles are used like APA, Harvard and Vancouver. Be consistent in the handling of references in your text and use only one reference style.
