How do we find patterns in the building blocks of life? In bioinformatics, biology and computer science come together to help us understand everything from genes to diseases. This course gives you the tools to explore biological data and contribute to the science of tomorrow.
Today large amount of data is generated within molecular biology and biomedicine, for instance DNA and protein sequences, gene expression data, etc., and to manage and analyze this data computational and statistical methods are very important. This course gives you an overview of fundamental problems within the area, different types of data that is analyzed as well as commonly used methods and programs that are used for analyzing the data
