Student Support
The Introduction Programme for international students begins several days before the semester starts. The autumn introduction programme starts Monday August 24, 2026 and the schedule and sign up will be published during the spring.
During the introduction you will get to know the University, the student support that we offer, the Student Union and the city of Skövde. You will go through the registration procedure, residence permits, course schedules, computer access and much more.
The programme consists of three parts:
- The academic part concerns your studies and this part is compulsory.
- The cultural part contains information to teach you more about Swedes and living in Sweden.
- The social part is information and activities to help you get to know other students and experience Sweden and the Swedish culture. The Student Union and the buddies will inform you about the social activities that they will arrange for you.
Everything marked with an asterisk (*) is compulsory for all students, which means that you must attend. Everything marked with ^^ applies only for students attending the specific courses.
If you are a Swedish student or have been living in Sweden for a while, some sessions of this introduction may not apply to you. Please read the description of each session.
