What are the entry requirements for master's programmes?

The University of Skövde offers both one and two-year master's programmes. The programmes are designed and open for applications from students with a bachelor's degree equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen from an internationally recognised university. Each master’s programme has specific entry requirements. Please check the programme webpage for detailed information.

However, we also consider applications from students currently on their final year. Students in their final year of bachelor’s studies may be conditionally admitted and must present complete grade transcripts and official diploma by the start of the semester at our university. We suggest that you upload your documents at Universityadmissions.se as soon as you receive them so that they are registered in the admissions system when you arrive in Sweden (a prerequisite for successful registration).

What are the entry requirements for bachelor's programmes?

The university also offers bachelor's programmes in Bioscience. For prerequisites, please visit the programme webpages:

What is the English language requirement?

In order to meet the English requirement, you must have studied the equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

Evaluation of English proficiency is done by Universityadmissions.se. All applicants can meet the requirement with the required score on an internationally recognised English test. Upper secondary and university studies in some countries can also meet the requirement. You can read more about the English requirements and possible exemptions based on your country of previous studies here:

How do I receive my admission results?

Applicants who have submitted their application online will see their admission results at universityadmissions.se.

Your notification of Selection Results will be available as a printable pdf document at Universityadmissions.se. You can print out the document if you must provide a copy of your official results, for example when applying for a resident permit with the Swedish Migration Agency or renting an apartment.
