In order to keep your study place in the course/programme you need to follow two steps:
- Activate your student account (external link)
Admitted students via UniversityAdmissions.se activate their account upon arrival in Skövde, at the registration. - Register on the course/programme you have been admitted to.
Registration for each student category
The registration process is different for students admitted to programmes and courses in English and for exchange students.
How to register (per category)

Master and bachelor students (campus learning programmes in English) admitted via UniversityAdmissions.se
Registration for admitted students to master's and bachelor’s programmes in English who have arrived in Skövde is done by visiting the Students Affairs Office, located in house E, floor 2, on one of the following occasions:
- Wednesday 16 August, at 13:00 – 14:00
- Friday 18 August, at 11:00 – 12:00
- Monday 21 August, 09:00 – 10:00 and 15:00 – 16:00
- Tuesday 22 August, 13.00 – 14:30
- Wednesday 23 August, at 10:00 – 11:30
- Friday 25 August, 11:15 – 12:00
For students arriving late:
- Monday 28 August, 08:15 – 09:15
Please note that students arriving late will not be allowed to start or register to the programme after 28 August 2023 at 10 am.
ID is required for registration so you need to be prepared to identify yourself by showing your passport.
If you are unable to arrive in Skövde by 28 August 2023, please decline your study place on UniversityAdmissions.se and apply for tuition fee refund. Please note that, according to the the Guidelines regarding tuition fees (HS 2022/200), the University charges an administrative fee of 8 000 SEK when tuition fees are refunded. The last day to apply for refund without a special reason according to our Guidelines is 17 September 2023.

Master students (distance learning programmes in English) admitted via UniversityAdmissions.se
Registration for admitted students to a master distance learning programme in English is done through a Zoom-meeting on one of the following occations:

Master students admitted via Antagning.se
Registration for admitted students to a master’s and bachelor's programme in English is done through the Student Portal (Studentportalen). Log in to Studentportalen using your student account. Go to Course registration under My studies and follow the instructions.
Web-registration period for autumn 2023: 1–14 August 2023.
After your registration
Once you have registered, the courses will disappear from the registration page. They can then be found directly under the current semester on the start page of My studies in Studentportalen. Here you will also find facts about the course, including the syllabus and literature list.

Students admitted to courses in English via Antagning.se
Registration for admitted students to courses in English is done through the Student Portal (Studentportalen). Log in to Studentportalen using your student account. Go to Course registration under My studies and follow the instructions.

Exchange students
Registration will take place at the University of Skövde.
The International introduction Programme will introduce you to the university, its facilities and services, and inform you about courses, exams, and academic procedures.
You will be advised about your study plan and given the schedules for all your courses. You will also be guided through practical things such as registration, residence permits, computer and library access etc. Your presence is extremely important, as you will be enrolled at the University during this week.
Conditionally admitted students
Conditionally admitted means that you have on-going university studies and will probably fulfill the eligibility requirements by the start of the course/programme. You must present the appropriate documents to prove your eligibility in order to be able to register to course/programme you have been admitted to.
Final-year student are required to present complete documentation of their bachelor's studies, i.e. original complete academic transcript and official degree certificate(s)/diplomas(s) and translations if this applies by the start of the programme in Sweden.
If you are an international student, please upload or send your documents to UniversityAdmissions.se/Antagning.se as soon as you get them, so that they are registered in the national admissions system when you arrive in Sweden. Also notify admission@his.se that there are new uploaded documents to be checked.
Students who have completed bachelor's studies at Swedish universities just need to notify admission@his.se when results have been published or degree certificate has been awarded.
First programme meeting
Participate in the first programme meeting with the programme director at the beginning of the semester. This meeting is mandatory. If you cannot come to the first programme meeting, please contact the programme director for another arrangement; otherwise you risk losing your place.
Admitted students to distance learning programmes participate in an online meeting.
Information about the exact date and venue for your programme will be available on the webpage for First Programme Meeting
