How do we know what is true in a world characterized by AI, digitalization and scientific breakthroughs? This course gives you the tools to critically examine research, formulate your own questions – and contribute to the science of the future.
The course gives you a deep dive into all parts of the research process – from formulating hypotheses to analyzing results and writing scientific articles. Here you will not only learn methodology and critical thinking, but also how to find and evaluate research with a focus on AI in bioinformatics. We also discuss important ethical issues, such as gender equality, sustainability and digitalization, and look at how these affect biological research. Through article reading and seminars, you develop the ability to assess scientific texts and formulate relevant research questions. The course equips you to meet the challenges that lie ahead in AI and biology and gives you the tools to contribute to research in the field.
