Admission Requirements
Entry requirements higher education not set. (or the equivalent). The prerequisites for this course are 150 higher education credits passed, of which at least 90 higher education credits must be courses within medicine or biology. Among these higher education credits, at least 15 must be on G2E-level or higher (or the equivalent).
A further requirement is proof of skills in English equivalent of studies at upper secondary level in Sweden, known as English course 6. This is normally demonstrated by means of an internationally recognized test, e g IELTS or TOEFL or the equivalent.

Are we prepared for the next pandemic? The future will tell, but one prerequisite is to have a through background in infectious diseases.
This course considers molecular mechanisms and processes involved in the pathogenesis of different microorganisms. To exemplify this a number of diseases caused by some representative microorganisms will be considered as well as the molecular and cellular processes of the immune defense. The course also consider complications/diseases related to a dysfunctional immune system.
