Today, discrete event simulation (DES) is used in different areas even though it's most common in industry. DES is used to analyse and make systems more efficient with the purpose to get an increased understanding and better utilisation of resources. The course is designed for those students who want to acquire the basic knowledge in DES and understand how it can be used to model different systems.
