      Admission Requirements

      Entry requirements higher education not set. The course has the following entry requirements: passed courses of at least 40 credits in one or more of the subjects of Biomedicine, Bioscience or Chemistry (or the equivalent).Additional requirements: English 6 or English level 2 (or the equivalent). The level of English proficiency is normally demonstrated by an internationally recognized language test, e.g. IELTS or TOEFL.

      The courses are conducted in English.

      This course explores the core principles of public health and epidemiology as they apply to nutrition and physical activity at a population level. In addition, the course discusses the selection and justification of appropriate study designs for research questions relevant to the field of nutrition and physical activity. The influence of food choices and physical activity on public health is discussed with a key focus on the comparison of Nordic nutrition recommendations with guidelines on diet and physical activity from other countries.
