The course provides the student with deeper knowledge about data communication and IT security focusing on intrusion detection. The course is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on intrusion detection, detection techniques and preventive security. The practical part aims at giving the student hands-on experience in implementing and working with intrusion detection systems.
