Notification of selection 1: results will be published on 10 December 2025 on Antagning.se.

The deadline to reply to your offer received in selection 1, is on 15 December 2025, on Antagning.se. It is mandatory to reply if you wish to keep your study place. You need to reply to your offer also for places on the waiting list.

The notification of selection 2 will be published on 18 December 2025 on Antagning.se. No reply is required after selection 2.

You will receive an email from the University 1–2 days after each Notification of Selection Results on Antagning.se.
After the second notification on 18 December 2025, you will receive another email containing a welcome letter with important information for newly admitted students.
Emails are sent to the email you registered on Antagning.se. Please check your spam folder and contact us if you do not receive any emails.

If you have received a tuition fee invoice but hold a temporary residence permit for reasons other than studies that has expired — and you have applied for an extension — you must send the following documents to admission@his.se:
- A copy of your previous residence permit decision (granted for reasons other than studies).
- A receipt from Migrationsverket confirming that you have applied for an extension. The receipt must clearly show your case number or check number and your name.
Please submit the documents as soon as possible and no later than 2 January, 2026.
We will verify your application status with Migrationsverket during the second week of January. If your extension application is still being processed when the course/programme begins, you may remain exempt from paying tuition fees for the current course/programme. If an exemption is not granted, you must pay the fee by 19 January, 2026.

Apply for student housing as early as possible. You can apply for student housing for the Spring 2026 through the Student Housing Office. Under Accommodation you will find information.

Once you have been admitted to a course or a programme at the University of Skövde, you need to activate your student account. Please note that there is a delay before the account is available for activation – for example if you have received the Notification of selection results (admission letter) today at 10.00, you need to wait until the next day to activate your account.
The User account is used in order to gain access to the University’s different IT systems (such as the Studentportal, Learning platform and email).
Please follow some few steps to create and activate your account.

If you have been conditionally admitted to a master's programme and have completed studies at Swedish universities, please notify admission@his.se when your degree certificate has been awarded, no later than the start of the programme.

After you have activated your student account, please note that you still need to wait about 15 minutes before you can proceed with the registration.
Registration is mandatory. Registration for admitted students to a master’s programme in English is done through the Student Portal (Studentportalen). Log in to Studentportalen using your student account. Go to Course registration under My studies and follow the instructions.
Web-registration period for Spring semester 2026: 2-12 January, 2026.
If you are conditionally admitted you have until the course/program starts to fulfill the requirements. You will be able to register once the requirements are met.

You will find your personal schedule in the Student Portal (Studentportalen) as soon as you register for your courses (login required).
You can also search for courses and programmes schedules via TimeEdit. Please see publishing of schedule periods under Schedule.

The International introduction starts on Friday 16 January, 2026. During the introduction you will get more information about Skövde and the university. Social activities will be offered to help you get to know other students.
The First Programme Meeting is mandatory and will mark the official start of the academic year.

Access cards/entry pass and library card – information about on how to get both cards will be provided during the international introduction.

You will receive a digital Mecenat card automatically:
• Student union member: Your digital card is created shortly after you become a member (it may take a few minutes for the entire transaction). You need to be registered for courses for the current semester in order for a card to be ordered.
• Non-member: Your digital card is created 10 days after the student union has received your information from the university (ie after you have registered on your courses for the semester).
You will receive an email with information on how to get started with the digital card the morning after the card is created.

After the registration for your programme you can log in to the learning platform Canvas (canvas.his.se) with your student account (activated in step 6).
Course homepages are published at the latest at the start of the course, it can vary between courses depending on the individual course's structure.

- We recommend you to login and make sure you get the paid license. The free Zoom-account is OK, but limited. The University offer is for your convenience.
